1969 was his birth year. He went to elementary and secondary education in several Nigerian states. He continued on to the former Cross River State University to study business administration. Since then, the University of Uyo has replaced Cross River State University.

He came from an affluent or upper-middle-class family at birth.

He entered the business world after graduating from college. He was a buyer and a seller. He then succeeded in founding an engineering company that he named “DESICON.” This company was involved in both property management and building. The company then expanded into the oil and gas industry. Mr. Udofia was able to take advantage of the fact that it is situated in Akwa Ibom State, one of Nigeria’s top oil-producing states, to make a fortune for himself in the oil and gas value chain.

Mr. Udofia also entered the maritime industry in addition to a plethora of other industries. His enterprises and business interests have expanded quickly under his leadership. The company began as a small engineering and management firm and has since expanded to become a national enterprise with interests in engineering, oil and gas, marine, providing services, and much more.

Akanimo Asuquo Udofia graduated from Harvard Business School, a renowned institution, with an MBA.

He eventually moved to Toronto, Canada. He frequently travels to Nigeria but spends more time in Canada. It is thought that he operates his companies out of Canada. He has a happy marriage and kids.

He ran and won the APC’s Akwa Ibom State governorship primary in 2022. He decisively overcame the other contenders. He is therefore the APC’s candidate for Akwa Ibom State’s governorship in the elections of 2023.
